my favourite book in the whole Bible because of the meat of it. Now look at chapter 3, verse 9:
…to make all seewhat is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning
of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ
To make all see this thing that has been hidden since the beginning of all ages. So He paints a
picture of your life before the beginning of the ages. Then God says,
‘After I show it to Myself, I’m going to take the picture of your life and I’m going to show it to
the world. I’m going to take the picture I’ve been looking at and flip it around and I’m going to
do it like this [shows picture] to people.’
Now, we’ve gone to another level:
Because God’s seeing what you’re supposed to be and everybody else is seeing what you’re
supposed to be sometime look TOTALLY different. “To make all see to see the mystery of your life
…hidden before the foundations of the earth.”
Okay, God knows. He’ll reveal it to me by Spirit, but God don’t just want you and Him to know. He
wants to put you on display cause your God is the biggest showoff in history. Your God is a showoff.
He don’t like to do anything where He don’t show it to people and say,
‘See what I did?’
Okay?
Now here in lies the conflict:
Because we have free will and we can make decisions, there are things in our life that don’t look
like the picture:
X Your picture didn’t have drug addiction in it.
X Your picture don’t include 7 years of incarceration.
X Your picture don’t include failed relationship after failed relationship.
X Your picture don’t include destruction, pain, discouragement, depression, poverty.
That’s not the picture. God don’t paint pictures like that. So, we have a CONFLICT. The conflict is:
what I’m doing don’t look like the picture that’s in Heaven. God’s got a picture on me
reigning in my emotions, but right now I live out of them. And God’s got a picture of me knowing
how to behave and knowing how to conduct myself but my behaviour is out of control and I don’t
have boundaries in my life.
God has a picture of me being able to take care of not only my needs but bless my brother whenever
he’s in need and right now I don’t even know how I’m going to get gas to go home. So I know y’all
can’t say “Amen” because nobody in here’s got problems. But there are some peoples lives in here t
hat don’t totally look like the canvas that’s in Heaven and I wish you’d be honest enough to tell me
there are some inconsistencies.
So what does God do when the reality of your life does not match the picture that He’s painted?
Now, that is where we had our biggest shout last week and I never got past it. Our biggest shout last
week was this and I even posted it on Facebook as a quote this week.
Whatever comes against your purpose is not your battle; it’s God’s battle.
The worst thing I could do is for God to purpose a thing in you and me FIGHT it. Because I’m no
longer fighting you; I picked a fight with God.
There are people over the years that have CHOSEN to pick a fight to try to stop me when they
don’t understand I wasn’t even here for me. I’m not here for me. I didn’t pick this. I’d have picked
something else with a whole lot less stress and a whole lot less trial! And a whole lot less scrutiny
and a whole lot less opinions! But see, when you come against that you’re not coming against me.
You have a problem because Ron is not your foe.
> If God has purposed a thing in me, you begin to fight God when you fight my purpose.
> If I fight your purpose, I pick a fight with God.
Because God is OBLIGATED to move obstacles that stand in the way of purpose.
