When the doctor told me in May 2010 that cancer was in my bones and gave me less than one year to live, the Holy Spirit said to me, "You are going to be okay!" I had to immediately stand on the Word of God, have total Faith and believe that Jesus had healed me. No matter what I felt or heard or saw, I could have NO doubt in His healing.
The following shows the steps leading to my complete recovery over the course of 15 months. The Holy Spirit lead me every step of the way and my faith grew. Having the knowledge and wisdom of the Word brings LIFE to your body and I wanted to share this with you. This is my personal experience... ~Heather
S T E P 1
After radiation and chemotherapy put me in the hospital for 13 days (July 2010), I was determined to get the Word in my mouth and mediate on healing Scriptures. The healing Scriptures in the Holy Bible are VERY important for your healing. They show you what God wants you to have in your life. Both life and death are in the words that you speak, and God's Word is LIFE to your body. Listen to the Scriptures on Healing especially at night while you sleep. Your spirit-man never sleeps. Commit to doing this every day and listening to the Scriptures on healing continuously throughout the night. "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." Romans 10:17

Shortly after coming home from the hospital I turned on the TV and Gloria Copeland was talking about it is always Jesus' will for you to be healed. She talked about the traditions of man and more. I thought about what she said and decided to order the book titled, Your 10-Day Spiritual Action Plan for Healing and Wellness by Kenneth & Gloria Copeland. When I started reading this book I learned how much God wants me to be alive and well and whole! He doesn't want us sick. This book changed my perspective on healing. I started looking more and more to what God's Word said instead of man.

In November 2010, my oncologist was amazed at how well I was doing. He couldn't understand why, but I knew why...Jesus! In early December 2010, the Holy Spirit said to me, "Rebuilding and Restoration for the next 6 months."
During those 6 months I was in physical therapy and then oncology rehabilitation (exercising my weak body) and studying the Word. I read the book by Kenneth E. Hagin titled, New Thresholds of Faith. And I also read another book by Hagin title, Following God's Plan for Your Life. My faith continued to grow stronger as well as my body. In addition to reading the Bible, these 2 books, I watched faith inspired messages on TV and the internet: The Believer's Voice of Victory program by KCM, and Redemption World Outreach Church with Pastor Ron Carpenter.

I continued studying, exercising, and eating healthy. In late July 2011 the Holy Spirit said to me, "Gain Wisdom for the next 3 months."
And I thought to myself, "Okay, I need to dig in deeper to His Word and see what I'm missing!"
I read the book The Believer's Authority by Kenneth E. Hagin. This book showed me the authority Jesus has given us OVER the devil, and how we are to "arm/protect" ourselves from the devil using the Shield of Faith. I continued on my journey of gaining more wisdom by reading, The Wigglesworth Standard by Peter J. Madden and Smith Wigglesworth - The Secret of His Power by Albert Hibbert. Smith Wigglesworth was the most faith-filled man in the early 20th century and I starting "seeing" what I had been missing in my walk in the Lord. My wisdom continued to grow...

And now the best book I have read so far by man - Christ The Healerby F.F. Bosworth. This book is very encouraging and shows that when Jesus went to the Cross, He did so for BOTH our salvation AND healing. Both of them. So, when you asked Jesus into your heart to be saved, you had faith you were saved. Same thing with healing. When you ask to be healed, you have to have faith you are healed. You cannot have any doubt, and this book is the best I have ever read showing why it is always His will for you to be healed. This book also includes a chapter discusses the 22 reasons why people do not receive healing. I would start with that chapter first.

In November 2011 I started listening to the New Testament on CD and taking notes in my Bible. I am continuing to gain more wisdom from the Lord. I will begin re-reading the books that I have mentioned on this page. In January 2012, I started listening to Pastor Keith Moore's online sermons on healing. Now, God expects you to do your part. You have to know what His Word says about healing. You have to want your healing, have faith, believe and accept and receive your healing. Don't listen to people who say, "If it is thy will..." They are wrong. Yes, some of these people may be church members telling you this, but YOU have to stand of the Word of God and have FAITH. Be encouraged, stay strong, and arm yourself with the Word of God against the devil!
