Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you,
than he that is in the world.

1 John 5:4-5
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the
world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the
Son of God?

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will,

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that
he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hebrews 12:12-13
Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it
rather be healed.

Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with
whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

James 5:14-16
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing

Hebrews 4:14-16
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God,
let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling
of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come
boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 9:12
Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place,
having obtained eternal redemption for us.

under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God
the Father.

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the

of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding
greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which
he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly
places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not
only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to
be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

the palsy. And Peter said unto him,
Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed.

And he arose immediately.

upon them, Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from
the dead. And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes, And Annas the high priest,
and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were
gathered together at Jerusalem. And when they had set them in the midst, they asked,
By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them,
Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the
impotent man, by what means he is made whole; Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel,
that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead,
even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of
you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there
is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant
men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
Saying,
What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest
to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it. But that it spread no further among the
people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had
said unto them. And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said,
Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may
speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by
the name of thy holy child Jesus.
