Today, we begin a new series, How to Live Bold Beyond Uncertainty, by Jeremy Pearsons (Kenneth Copeland's grandson). I really like how he boldly talks about the Word of God and how we are to respond to others and how we are to WAKE UP and believe what the Word of God says! For the next 2 or 3 weeks (or more) we will be on this series.

If you have your Bibles with you, I’d like you to turn to I Thessalonians. If you don’t have one in front of you, go get one because it’s so important to get the Word of God in front of you. Do something to set your eyes on these Scriptures because when you set your eyes on the Word of God, that’s when it begins to change you – get it down on the inside of you. The Book of Proverbs says, ‘His WORDS are life to those that find them, and health to all their flesh.’
Yes, the Word of God is life but it’s not YOUR life until you find it. It’s not health to your body until you go and put your eyes on this Word, put it in your ears getting into your heart, and then the end result it coming back out of your mouth and you BELIEVE the Word of God.
1 Thessalonians 5:4-8
But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all
sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep,
as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get
drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith
and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.
I want to make this statement to you and when I say it, I know it’s not going to feel like big, billowing waves of revelation. You’re going to say,
‘Yeah, I know that. Yeah, I’ve heard that.’
I want this to SINK into you in a way it hasn’t before. Let me make this statement to you and endeavor to hear this with frank ears and in a new way:
Are you ready?
There is supposed to be a difference between you and the rest of this world that doesn’t know Jesus, who has never come in contact with the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is supposed to be a difference. Now again I know you’ve heard…thought that. It’s kind of the essence of everything we preach and everything we say. You go to the Word of God and yeah your life is supposed to be different, look different, but I want that to resonate in you in a way that maybe it never has before. There is supposed to be a difference!
And the reason I believe it is so important to drive that home and demonstrate that is because I think we live in a society, I know we do, that endeavors to reach into every part of your life. This world’s way of thinking, this world’s way of speaking and living life, it has these arms that try to reach into every area of your life and if you’re NOT watchful, you’ll find yourself beginning to live exactly the way the world does. Speak exactly the way the world does and you’ll find all sorts of excuses for it.
You know Jesus illustrated this in Matthew chapter 6 and He said,
’Take no thought for your life. Take no thought worrying. Take no thought saying,
“What am I going to eat, wear, or drink.”’
He said,
‘Doesn’t the world seek these things…those that don’t know God; those with no relationship with
God. Isn’t that what they are after?”
There is supposed to be a difference.
