"Behold, a sower went out to sow."
The word "Behold” means that Jesus said to look. He sees some things that we don’t see… yet. In verse 4, Jesus says,
“And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside”
“Some seed” translates to some of the same kind. That same seed was planted four times, but only reproduced once. The Sower sows the Word. The Word of God is capable of saving (spirit, soul and body) and healing you. It is ALIVE!
Why did the seed of the Word only produce one time? It is designed to take root and produce. When the Word takes root, its ability is to produce healing in your body. What’s going on when that’s not working? Why? In Mark 4:13, Jesus says,
“Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables?”
In Matthew 13:11-12, Jesus says,
“Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries [secret or hidden truths] of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”
Without the foundation of Who Jesus really is, you will never walk in anymore light. Revelation builds upon revelation.
Who do you say I am? In Matthew 16:15-17, Jesus says,
“But who do you say that I am?
And Simon Peter answered and said, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
THAT is the foundational revelation upon which ALL revelation is built.
In Matthew 13:13-14, Jesus says,
“Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand. And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:
‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,
And seeing you will see and not perceive;
For the heart of this people has grown dull.
Their ears are hard of hearing,
And their eyes they have closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their heart and turn,
So that I should heal them.’ ”
People see without really seeing, and hear without really hearing.
In Matthew 13:18, Jesus says,
“Therefore hear the parable of the sower”
Seeing Jesus for Who He really is. There is a difference between what you’ve heard and what you know.
If they would begin seeing with their eyes, hearing with their ears, and understanding with their heart, I will HEAL them.
