Revelation 21:8 (New King James Version)
“’But the cowardly, UNBELIEVING, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral,
sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake
which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.’”
This verse contains the word “unbelieving”. It doesn’t take much to get in hell. Believing comes from the heart; from the mouth comes confession. No matter what happens around us, we can believe that God is faith.
Faithis built on what HE says… not what we see with our eyes. We need the Word in us, so we have faith when things come against us.
Mark 6:5
“Now He could do NO mighty work there, except that He laid His hands
on a few sick people and healed them.”
In this verse, we see that Jesus could do NO mighty work in His own hometown. So, unbelief can STOP God from working in our lives. And Jesus “marveled” at their unbelief. And in Hebrews, we also see that the children of God could not enter into the Promised Land because of their UNBELIEF.
We need to be the people that DO believe… that are faithful. People of Faith and full of Faith.
Romans 10:17
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
God gives every single person in the world a way to KNOW Him, whether in creation, life, the world. Living a life of faith takes STAYING in the Word and it will stay more constant.
Matthew 6:15-16
“But if you do not forgive men their trespasses,
neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
‘Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance.
For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting.
Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.’”
If you’re going through something, like this Flu season, then just say out loud, “This is NOT going to come in my house! By Your stripes, we are healed.”
We have to have TRUST for Faith. We have to trust GOD. You have to give it over to Him and trust God to let Him do it. Stay in the Word.
When the devil comes, just say the following:
Psalm 91
“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will TRUST.’
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
And from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your SHIELD and buckler.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
And ten thousand at your right hand;
But it shall NOT come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked.
Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge,
Even the Most High, your DWELLING place,
No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
For He shall give His angels CHARGE over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
‘Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
He shall call upon Me, and I will ANSWER him;
I will be WITH him in trouble;
I will DELIVER him and honor him.
With LONG LIFE I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.’”
We can be in an area of bad times, but it will not affect us. We need to keep OUR words right. We need to keep the right words in OUR mouth, and look forward to the next day.
Do NOT have fear, because you will NOT have trust, and therefore, you will NOT have Faith.
