One of the problems, that I see, comes from being indoctrinated in religion. There was a lot of stuff,
that was made to be wrong, that wasn’t sin in the first place. So, you get a lot of natural stuff on your
mind and a whole lot of the time, the very idea of “church sins,” and trying to obey “church laws,” those
kind of ideas… now the people that are involved in that, don’t realize the sin they are committing.
And a whole lot of it is criticism and they haven’t even considered that. And there’s a mix-up of flesh-stuff
put over into Word stuff, and you get that all balled up, and then the person doesn’t know any better on
one thing, but he does know something better on the other.
You can get it so fouled up, that nobody knows what they’re doing, and that’s what religion is supposed
to do anyway – to get you so mixed up, in the sin area, to keep it all doctrinally stirred up/mixed up all
the time, to then you have to go back to the Word and follow the Word, to know where you are.
Keith Moore:
1 John 2:27
“But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you,
and you do not need that anyone teach you;
but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things,
and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you,
you will abide in Him.”
Now, we know that we need teachers and preachers, what you’re (Kenneth) referring to is people
endeavoring to walk in the “so-called” light of other people. Other people tell them, “This is sin.”
And so they tell these people, for sure, when these people heard it, that didn’t bare witness to
their spirit, because it wasn’t God.
But, instead of depending on the Lord to show them for themselves, they try to walk in the
“so-called” light of somebody else. And that’s where people get messed up.
Kenneth Copeland:
And the other side of that coin is, when they begin to criticize people, because of their man-made law,
they know better than to do that. Your heart should be telling you not to be walking in a critical spirit.
Finally, if you keep doing this, you’ll put the voice of your spirit, down to the place where you DON’T
hear it. And then you’re in some trouble now.
Keith Moore:
Well, those people are listening to others, instead of listening to the Lord.
Kenneth Copeland:
It’s just that simple. You know better anyway.
Keith Moore:
And the Lord told us, “Judge not, that you be not judged.’ And one of the biggest reasons why, we should
not judge, is because we don’t know what “Light” the other person has. How could we know that.
And if he’s walking in ALL the Light that he HAS, then he’s not sinning before God. Because all the
Lord requires of us, is to walk in the Light that we have.
Kenneth Copeland:
For me (Kenneth), I was raised in a Christian home, but I was Bible-illiterate, and there was all the stuff
floating around and I couldn’t tell one from the other, but there’s certain things in my heart… when they
told me God couldn’t heal anymore, I knew that was stupid. That didn’t make any sense. I knew in my
heart better than that.
Let’s settle the issue of criticism right NOW! What we are saying here is not to criticize anybody, not to
criticize what they thought, or don’t think, or do or don’t do, that’s NOT our purpose here. We’re not doing
this in a critical spirit.
Don’t run from God when you sin; run TO him!
