Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And behold, a woman of
Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David!
My daughter is severely demon-possessed.” But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came
and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.” But He answered and said, “I was not
sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord,
help me!” [He can’t resist worship.] But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread
and throw it to the little dogs.” And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall
from their masters’ table.” Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be
to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
In 1 Peter 1:23 it says, ‘having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word
of God which lives and abides forever.’
What do those 2 verses have to do with each other? What we have been talking about with Faith is
understanding when we approach God with need, God responds with seed. The seed is
the Word. God has to get the Word that He speaks into your heart to get you the answer to your prayer.
Answers do not come through air conditioners. Answers to not come through anointing oil. God has to get
a Word inside of YOU in the RIGHT place. We have to renew our mind because our thinking is a
roadblock many times to God getting us a Word.
Now, let me tell you what God will do. God will give you a word that will offend your mind so it can change
your heart. When God sends you something in word form, everything that you prayed for is inside of that
word. But you’ve got to know how to work seed. Because the kingdom of God like the parable says: A
sower when out to sow. So, the kingdom at work in Ron Carpenter is me going to God saying,
‘God, I hurt my back and I know that your stripes are not just for sickness but for injury.
And Lord, right now I’m just asking you to bring that healing to me.’
And then He’ll take me straight to Isaiah 53 – ‘And by My stripes I have healed that injury Ron.’
And then He’ll take me straight to Psalm 107 – ‘I sent My word and I healed your disease.’
And then He’ll take me to
‘Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers them out of them all.’
And every time I begin to speak those words, I’m releasing whatever I’m praying for in my OWN life!
That’s why Jesus said,
‘If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ASK Me whatever and you can have it!'
Why? Because whatever He gives you is going to come out of Word!
