Then, you will reap this harvest and God will stand up for you.
Psalm 1: 1-6
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the LORD;
and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
that bringeth forth his FRUIT in his SEASON; his leaf also shall not wither;
and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous:
but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”
When we meditate in the Word of God, then we’re going to bring forth our fruit in the perfect season. Seeds are in seasons. We have to have patience and faith for the seed to come forth… in the right season.
In the book of Hebrew, chapter 6, and in the book of Mark, chapter 4, we see that we don’t know how that little seed grows, but we KNOW that it works. We have seen it work. Putting in hard work, reading the Word, we can withstand when difficult times come.
Hearing the Word really gets into your spirit. Our LIFE is in God. He is OUR source. We can stand firm in the Lord, like a tree, and when a storm comes, we stand firm. When a hard time comes, a scripture should immediately come to mind. You ALREADY have the Word in you.
You need to come to church, to build your faith.
2 Timothy 4:2-5
“Preach the word; be instant in SEASON, out of SEASON;
reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist,
make full proof of thy ministry.”
We need to hear ALL of the Word. Not just the “feel good” stuff. Be ready to share the Gospel, not just in church, but EVERYWHERE. Giving your testimony is a testament of what God has done in your life. Encourage someone else and this will help you too.
Leviticus 26:3-5
“If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase,
and the trees of the field shall yield their FRUIT.
And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall
reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full,
and dwell in your land safely.”
If you keep His Word, you will have all His Blessings. As a Christian, there are a lot of things/blessings/promises for us, but there are things we have to do. We have to be steady and stay on the Word. Sometimes the cares of this life, can get you off track and weigh us down.
Let’s cultivate our ground.
Let’s make an effort to read some extra Word this week. Find a scripture, such as Ephesians 5, and SAY/speak it out loud. What you hear, what you say... you will start seeing the harvest of your seed.
