Depression and sadness is not of faith. And you have to walk in faith to please the Lord. So, if you go around depressed and upset all the time, you’re not pleasing the Lord because you’re not walking by faith. If you’re walking by faith, you’ll have joy!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
God gives us richly all things to enjoy! But you know, the devil has so lied to humanity until people are so afraid to enjoy things.
You know, it’s a sad thing that so many folk in life have to lose something to appreciate it. And while they had it, they didn’t enjoy it. But now that they’ve lost it, they think, “Oh, how I could enjoy that again.” And health is no exception. You understand there a lot of people around today that have good health, but they’re not enjoying it. Did you know that? They’ve got good health, but they’re not enjoying it. They are taking it for granted and they are not enjoying it. They don’t enjoy the simple things – like just not having any pain. They don’t enjoy the simple things – like just not having any bad doctor’s reports. They’re so worried about bills or worried about a relationship or worried about their career or whatever, until they are not enjoying their health. Did you hear me? People don’t enjoy the blessings they have. What do you have right now? And if you don’t think you have one thing to be glad for or rejoice about, then you are choked with unbelief.
If you can change your perspective and begin to get in faith, not only can you enjoy what you’ve got now, but you get in a position to regain something that you’ve lost. If you don’t use what you have, you stand to lose what you have. Don’t push off enjoyment until tomorrow. You’ve got a lot of things to enjoy around you now.
Yeah, but I’m sick and don’t feel good. Yeah, but that’s the whole point. This is how to come out. Amen! If you’re not careful you can get negative. Faith is the key to keeping what’ve you got and getting more.
