goes forth. So Jesus has FAITH in what He says.
You see Jesus is so acquainted with this process. Can we understand that Jesus was a man? Look at
what He says,
‘How in the world have I been teaching this thing all day. I told you exactly how this thing works. When
you get a Word, satan comes immediately. And here we are… I take you out of the classroom into life,
because it worked in the classroom, but as soon as I took [you] into life, the first time the wind blew
and the first wave that hit the boat, you LOST everything that was sowed in you.’
And Jesus is trying to teach them way back in Mark 4 so early, that once you receive a promise from
God, the thing in you is not lying – the stuff around you is the liar. They thing in you ain’t lying. It’s
all the stuff you SEE that’s telling you what in you will never happen. That’s the liar! You got to know who’s
lying in this fight. The thing in you is telling you the truth. Is that not powerful?
It is the enemy’s JOB to try to give you something to look at that contradicts what God told He’d do. And
you’ve got to determine who is telling the truth.
I’ve got wind and I’ve got waves. Sight. I’ve got, ‘Let us go to the other side.’ FAITH. Faith cometh by
hearing. I’ve got what I heard and I’ve got what I see. And they are contradicting each other.
What I HEARD tells me I AM going to make it.
What I SEE tells me I am NOT going to get there.
Have you ever been in a place where what you’re hearing tells you you’re going to make it, but what you’re
seeing tells you you’re never going to get there. That’s called the testing of your faith!
When Jesus said, ‘Let us go to the other side,’ He never said the terms by which they would arrive. And a
mistake we make is when we get a promise of a certain destination from God and WE fill in all the details
of HOW God’s going to do it.
God said, ‘Let us go to the other side.’ He didn’t say, ‘This boat shall take us there.’ He might have meant
backstroke. He might have meant holding onto a log. He might have meant a re-visitation from Jonah’s
fish. He did NOT fill in the ‘How,’ and He NEVER does.
He just tells you WHERE you’re going and you got to hang on with Faith for the ride.
