If God has given you a destiny, He gives you the option of ALL the routes you can take,
but His will WILL be done.
Oh, now I answered a big Why? right there. Some people are just submissive to God, and I learned
in geometry, although I made a ‘D’, that the shortest distance between 2 points is a straight line. And
the Bible talks about not turning to the right or to the left. What is He talking about? When God’s
taking you to destiny, walk it STRAIGHT out. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.
The Bible made it clear…that the Promise Land was only a 3 day journey but it took them 40 years
to get there. Now did God get them there? Yes, because He’s going to work all things out, His will is
going to be done and His purpose will prevail. But He’ll let you make a lot of DUMB decisions in
the middle! And God, even in your dumb decisions, will still create scenarios that have to move you
out of the last place He put you or even the last place you put yourself! I’m preaching! Some of you
are in a God place and God still got to move you to the next place. Some of you are in a place you
put yourself and God’s got to move you out of that.
So why is life have so many twists and turns? It's because there is a Master of puppets back in the
background and He said,
“I wish Johnny had not chosen this route. But I’m still going to get him over here. So I’ve got
to create scenarios to move him. But yet I got LeRoy over here and I’ve got to move him and
I’ve got Sarah over here and Gene over here and I’ve got to move them.”
The will of God will be accomplished no matter where you are starting from right now! The will of God
is not just for people who have been living right; the will of God can still be accomplished for people
who have been living wrong. Because you’ve got to understand, if you’ve got a destiny and it’s been
pre-planned, God will work EVERYTHING out according to the counsel of His will. Let me take a
deep breath before I hit that. I’m about to run all over you with that one.
I don’t care WHERE you are. God can start the GPS system at ANY point in life. If you in your
‘80s and you came in here today, and been on crack 40 years and you say I don’t have no time for
destiny. God who works ALL THINGS out in accordance with His will. He’ll take you at 81 years
old and hit the GPS system and say,
“Turn left right here, and when you get to turn right right here, now stay straight on this road.
And then when you get out I need you to take a right right over here. Then when you see this,
turn straight again and stay right on that road.”
I don’t care if you’re 18 or if you’re 88, I don’t care if you’ve lived a horrible life or if you’ve been in
church since you were born, God has a way of getting you where He wants you go! And sometimes
it might be painful. Sometimes it might be pleasurable. It don’t matter where you are – it just matters
where you END UP! Tell your neighbour,
“Quit looking at where I am. It don’t matter where I am!
It don’t matter where I am!
It doesn’t matter where I am!”
“I don’t have no job…”
“It don’t matter where I am!”
“Well, I’ve lost my health…”
“It don’t matter where I am!”
“Well, I missed my opportunity…”
“It doesn’t MATTER!”
See, when you talk about destiny, the Bible says He makes it known to you, but it’s still internal.
That’s the struggle of faith….
