You were purposed to bring God a SMILE!
Everybody in this world is trying to bring themself a smile. So they go chase happiness; they get the
money; they get their recording contract; they get the bling; they get the ring; they get the chains; they
get the gold; they get the girls; they get everything and then they commit suicide at 28. I’m preaching!
Well evidently, that wasn’t it! Why? Because they are in pursuit of personal pleasure! When you are
in pursuit of the will of God – which will cause you to sacrifice the things you want, but then you will
find who you are. I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it again, Jesus, one of His first statements,
‘He who tries to save his life… lose it. But he who will lose his life for MY sake,
not pleasure, he’ll find it.’
There ain’t much shouting going on today. Because we’re talking about crosses and dying and giving
up everything. And that ain’t shouting material. But it is powerful material.
He chose us.
Ephesians 1:5, 9
…to the good pleasure of His will, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according
to His good pleasure [there that ‘pleasure’ word is again] which He purposed in Himself,
Now, let me move on right here and just deal with this a minute. Go to chapter 3 of Ephesians and
I’m going to tie two other things together. Verse 9-10:
and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages
has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; to the intent that now the
manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers
in the heavenly places,
Alright, somebody say, ‘Preach it, Preacher!’
Are you ready? ‘Cause I’m going to take a deep breath and blow your hair even
if you’re bald. Are you ready for this? ………
Last week [Part 2 series], I had to deal with the element of time. It’s very confusing to people.
We’ve been dealing with time because now we have an eternal God living in “timed vehicle.” We
have this treasure in an earthen vessel.
> If it’s on earth, it has a beginning and an end and it’s operating on time.
> If it’s from Heaven, it is NOT bound by time.
And when the Holy Ghost came to live inside of you, something NOT bound by time came to live in
something that IS timed. Okay?
So therein lies what seems to be a conflict. Because Ecclesiastes 3 said God put eternity in our hearts.
In other words, God by the Holy Ghost came to live inside of you and now eternity is living in something
that has a beginning and has an end.
How does that work? Because the Bible says,
‘That to God that which has BEEN as already been. That which is yet to BE has already been.’
When Jesus went back to Heaven, He sat down and said,
‘It is finished.’
★ So in Heaven everything is finished. All the plan is complete. And everything has been
culminated. And revelation has already been written and been in our hand for 2000 years.
God is NOT waiting to see what tomorrow holds. God PLANNED tomorrow!
> So God is NOT surprised by what is surprising you and God is not upset by what upsets you
because God has already seen your deliverance BEFORE you got bound!
> God has already seen your answer BEFORE you had a problem.
> God has already seen you come out BEFORE you went in.
So your problem is not just going to make God have a fit.
Why?
Because you’ve been predestined and he works ALL THINGS out according to the purpose of His
will! You turn right, He’s going to get you there. If you turn wrong, He’s still going to get you there. If
you make a good decision, if you make a bad one…He’s still going to get you there. His mercy is
new every morning. If Tuesday you screwed up ALL day, Wednesday you can do it right all day long!
That is the good thing about God – is that no matter what route (how stubborn or rebellion you
are) you take, God will still get you to His intended end.
You can get there the easy way or you can get there the hard way.
But God will get you to His intended end!
