If God told the children of Israel,
‘I am taking you to a land of milk and honey.’
[Then] Pharaoh is no longer Israel’s problem! So who took care of him? They never lifted a hand.
Okay? Now we got a sea in front of us and we got a hoof beat behind us. You know what God did?
He took care of the sea and the hoof beats. They didn’t do anything! Because if God’s got somewhere
they’re going, Pharaoh and the sea is an obstacle in the purpose – so the battle becomes the Lord’s.
Y’all ain’t hearing me yet!
All right, we’re out here in the sand and don’t have no food. Okay? So now manna pops up and one
time doves start falling out of the sky. Water starts pouring out of rocks. Because God removes the
obstacles of thirst and hunger, because of the PURPOSE the obstacle and the battle is God’s.
Do you see what I’m talking about?
So whenever God has a PURPOSE, then it is up to God to remove the obstacles. Now, the
reason you can’t get God in every battle in your life is because all of your battles do NOT threaten
your purpose. Okay?
> Some of you want God to fix your money.
>> Okay, God wants you to balance your checkbook.
Do you see what I’m talking about. You got many challenges in life and all of them do not demand
God’s attention, but they demand YOURs. But when you come against my purpose, God shows up!
I said I frustrated many of my colleagues because the greatest battles in my ministry – some of them
I refused to fight. Because I knew down in me although the scrutiny was so intense, I felt like at times
I was going to fall a part. But I knew it wasn’t my battle because what they were coming against was
the purpose God birthed me in this world and put me in this place.
And now it’s time for God to part the Red Sea and take care of Pharaoh.
And so I have to have the faith to wait and watch God show up on my behalf. This battle is
God’s. This battle ain’t yours.
> Quit fretting it.
> Quit sweating it.
> Quit staying up all night.
This is God’s battle; it is not your battle.
“I declare to you this day, every mountain shall be made a leveled place. Every lo place shall be
brought high. Every high place shall be brought lo. Streams will be made in the desert.” [saith God]
Halleluiah! His battle is the Lord’s!
I got one more point I got to make. Now, I don’t have time to go hit this, but you got to understand
everybody ain’t going to be happy about your purpose. You need to know that. See, when you
start pursuing the pleasure of God for putting you here, it not only forces you to make decisions, it
forces those around you to make decisions. You’ve created weirdness for everybody connected with
you. The purpose of God affects those that relate to you.
Matthew 10:34
“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.
Now look what Jesus said. He said,
‘Don’t think that I came to bring peace.’
Why don’t anybody preach these verses? I never turn on TBN and hear anybody preach any of these verses!
‘I didn’t come to bring peace. I came to bring a sword.’
Next verse:
Matthew 10:35-36
For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law
against her mother-in-law’; and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’
The hardest one to see you going anywhere are the family members that know you best. It’s easy
for you to tell somebody who you just met you’re going to medical school, but your family who saw
you fail the 3rd grade twice… go tell them! You get a totally different response.
And the irony is those closest to you become your battle.
